Beard and Hair Transplant with FUE Technique: Best across Turkey

There are three main steps in a FUE hair transplant.

1) Graft extraction – Your hair is assessed to find the strongest and most suitable donor areas for the grafts to be taken from. The roots are then individually extracted using a special micro-motor.
2) Opening the recipient canals – Tiny, microscopic canals are opened in the target area and readied for the grafts to be implanted.
3) Planting the grafts – The grafts that have been removed are implanted into the canals that been opened up and readied.

The greatest advantage of the FUE technique is that it allows the highest number of grafts to be taken while leaving no scarring in the donor area.
Your hair transplant is designed specifically for you.
Because everybody’s hair loss is different, it is clear that every hair transplant must also
be different.

There are four points which must be carefully considered in the planning of your hair transplant: distribution, density, direction, angle. If all of these areas are
considered carefully and expertly, you will be able to achieve natural, thick, and abundant results!

Needle-free Hair Transplant (Comfort-in)

As in all surgical operations, anaesthesia in hair transplants is one of the most important factors in ensuring the patient experiences a comfortable operation throughout. Anaesthesia is applied to both the donor area (the nape of the neck) and the target area where the hair will be transplanted to. Due to the size of the area to be operated on, anaesthesia is an inevitable part of the procedure, however a local anaesthesia is used rather than a general.

At RepHair clinic, the anaesthesia for hair transplants is now applied without the use of needles, instead a pen-like device (Comfort-in) is now used to carry out a painless, needle-free, comfortable anaesthesia application. The Comfort-in device works by spraying the anaesthesia deep into the target area where it is then absorbed beneath the layers of skin. The Comfort-in device was created to help people who have a phobia of needles to enable them to have a comfortable experience both physically and psychologically.

Comfort-in

Conscious sedation is a type of anaesthesia used in minor surgeries and minimally-invasive procedures. Conscious sedation assists in making the application of local anaesthesia even more comfortable and painless. The sedatives are administered intravenously through a small catheter (butterfly) placed in the arm by an anaesthesiologist who is able to control and monitor the depth and duration of your relaxed, sleep-like state throughout.

In special circumstances, the sedatives can be administered orally (in a syrup) or via the nose (in drops). With conscious sedation, the effects wear off quickly after the procedure and ensure the patient is relaxed and at ease throughout the operation.

Conscious sedation may be used 10 – 15 minutes prior to the application of the anaesthesia required for a hair transplant for the following reasons:

  • For people with a fear of needles,
  • For people who have a fear of operations,
  • For people with anxiety (anxiety disorder),
  • For people with a very low pain threshold.

Conscious Sedation

The FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) technique is a method of hair transplantation where the hair roots are taken from the donor area one by one and then inserted into tiny canals that have been prepped and opened up by the doctor.

Unlike the FUT technique, there is no cutting or sewing involved in the FUE method. Since the grafts taken with the FUE method are standard and uniform, and since they can be implanted at the desired angle, this method produces the most natural-looking results and ensures the grafts blend in with the original hair seamlessly.

The FUE technique was first applied in 2003 and has become increasingly widespread ever since. Back in 2003, the diameter of the tubes used to take the hair follicles was 1.5 mm. A few years later they have decreased the diameter to 1.2 mm. Today with innovations in hair transplant technology we use even smaller and finer tubes of 0.6 to 0.8 mm.

Unlike the older methods of hair transplantation, the FUE technique is a minimally invasive method which causes very little tissue damage. Because the FUE hair transplant method is not an actual surgery, it does not carry with it the risks associated with a medical procedure, such as pain, wounds, bleeding, infection, scarring etc. Having such a non-invasive method of hair transplantation means that you can be back to work in very little time at all.

The Sapphire FUE Technique

Innovations in medical and scientific fields are being introduced on a daily basis and the Sapphire FUE technique is the latest to be added to the hair transplant industry. Occurring organically in nature, the elements found in sapphire crystals are now used to make penetrative blades which are utilised in the opening of the channels during the hair transplant.

Due to the fineness of the sapphire blades and the precision that can be achieved, less damage and trauma is caused to the scalp, therefore reducing any bleeding that may occur and leading to faster healing times and less scarring.

FUE Technique

What is the DHI hair transplant method?

The DHI technique (Direct Hair Implantation) has become widespread in the hair transplant industry since 2014. In this method, also known as the ‘pen technique’, hair follicles are collected individually with the FUE technique and simultaneously placed in the opened channels in the target area one by one. This is done using special medical pen-like devices called ‘choi’ or ‘implanters’.

Thanks to the DHI pen, the channels in the target area can be opened and the roots can be transplanted in simultaneously, thus drastically reducing the amount of time the sensitive root follicles are exposed to the air.

How is the DHI technique applied?

First of all, a detailed analysis of your hair is carried out to determine the structure of your hair, its quality, your potential hair loss, and hair density in the donor area. The number of hair grafts that can be transplanted are then calculated based on the results of the analysis.
Next, your hair is cut to a specified length and the hairline is styled and designed.

In the next step, local anaesthetic is applied to the donor area and the nape of the neck is numbed.
After that, the hair follicles are taken one by one with the help of a micro-motor . This extraction method prevents damage to the skin in this area.
Once the grafts have been extracted, local anaesthetic is applied to the area where the hair will be transplanted to. The grafts are then inserted into the implant pens and the hair transplantation starts from the planned hair line at the front, where the grafts are planted in accordance with the natural exit angles of the hair. In this way, the existing hair is preserved and the planting process is completed quickly and efficiently.

What are the advantages of the DHI technique?

  • Hair follicles are exposed to the air less thanks to the channels being opened and the grafts being placed simultaneously.
  • A thicker and more natural-looking transplant can be achieved.
  • Through the use of the special device, the waiting time of the roots is reduced and the risk of losing any roots during this period is minimal.
  • There is no damage to the remaining hair. This method can also be used for patients who are in the early stages of hair loss.
  • There is a much shorter healing period.

DHI Technique

Having thinning or sparse eyebrows can be a big problem for many people which can greatly affect their self-confidence, but thanks to new, innovative technology it is now possible to remedy this problem and feel great again.

At RepHair Clinic Istanbul, the latest, state-of-the-art devices are used by our expert team to carry out eyebrow transplants. Using the FUE method, the grafts are taken from the donor area with a micro-motor and transplanted to the desired area.

Local anaesthesia is applied to both the donor area and the target area to ensure a painless and comfortable procedure. The FUE eyebrow transplant procedure lasts between 2-3 hours.

A small area of hair at the nape of the neck is shaved and the grafts are taken from here. As the rest of your hair covers this area, the shaved area is not visible to anyone. Generally speaking, for one eyebrow anywhere from 50 to 500 follicles are needed.
Opening the channels at an appropriate angle is one of the most important factors in achieving a natural appearance.
